Hunter's Hiking Sticks
Welcome to the home of the original Hunter Hiking Stick. Hunter personally plays a part in every aspect of creating these sticks. He helps gather them, whether it is cutting them from a tree or rescuing them from a wood chipper. He assists with carving and sanding. Hunter is almost exclusively responsible for painting the sticks. He helps with placing the compasses, stringing the beads and cutting the straps.
Every stick is an original one of a kind hand painted work of art from Hunter's Imagination. He is very proud of his work. Please see our Photo gallery to view some of Hunter's Hiking Sticks. Visit our Store to purchase your own Hunter Hiking Stick.
Meet Hunter
Hunter is the imagination and inspiration behind this website and Hunter’s Hiking Sticks.
He is the President and Creative Director of Hiking With Hunter. He is also the boy
that once asked, while standing in a creek up to his thighs in water, why his water
proof boot were not keeping his feet from getting wet. He is my hiking partner
and he is my best buddy.
Hunter is 4 years old. He has been Hiking, exploring and adventuring with me since
long before he could walk. He loves to stomp in puddles, throw rocks in the creek
and eat his snack under a tree. Aimee and I have made it our goal to raise him to
be responsible, respectful and most importantly Happy. Additionally, I’ve made it
my life goal to raise him to be active and healthy, determined and adventurous.
Hiking has been a big part of his life. Thus, it seems pretty natural that this
entire endeavor came about.
Hunter is a typical 4 year old. He goes to preschool. He loves cars, trucks and
trains. He probably eats too much junk food and watches too much TV. However,
on the flip side, he loves going on adventures. He loves gymnastics. He is
learning martial arts and is active in seasonal sports – swim lesson, soccer, etc.
He is outgoing and adventurous. He often says he is shy, but he says "hello" to
every single person that passes by. We go hiking, running or biking as often as we
can. We have a philosophy that we live by, which is a secret we would like to share
with you – Rain doesn’t spoil an outing, it makes it an adventure!
If you are ever out on the trail and a young boy with a really cool Hiking Stick
screams "Hello!" to you from across a meadow, it’s probably Hunter.
