Despite the fact that Hunter’s Hiking Sticks have traveled many hours on countless miles of trails without any complaints of structural weakness or collapse it is important to know that Hunters Hiking Sticks are not life saving devices. They are novelty items, art work from the imagination of a 4 year old (with guidance of his parents, of course). Hunter’s Hiking Sticks are randomly gathered sticks of unknown type and unknown sources. Great care was indeed given to the selection of each individual stick before being chosen for transformation into a Hunter Hiking Stick. However, that said, there is no guarantee stated or implied with regards to the structural integrity or strength of the Hunter Hiking Sticks.
Of course, if there is any problem with regards to any attachments, strap, compass, rubber foot, etc, please let us know right away. We will happily replace or repair any attachment that is defective or not functioning properly.
The compasses are functional compasses. The company they were purchased from describes them as follows. “This small yet precise liquid filled button compass provides an excellent quality compass for any variety of custom applications. This compass is not a toy, but a real life-saving device. The operating temperature ranges from negative 10 degrees F to positive 110 degrees F.”
