Hunter's Treasure!
On our recent trip to the Valley of Fire in Nevada, while on a hike, we met a nice lady. Hunter told her how he was searching for Treasure in the sand with his "Treasure Quest Submarine". She told us of a story about a man who would hide real treasure in the woods for unsuspecting travelers to find. After pondering the story for a while, Hunter and I came up with the idea to hide "Hunter's Treasure". We decided we would hide a note in random places. The finder of the note would be entitled to a Free Hunter Hiking Stick.
We have already placed a few of Hunter's Treasures and have plans for many more. Some are in obscure places - off the beaten path. Others are in very populated places. All are placed in clear sight. If you walk past them, you will see them.
The purpose for Hunter's Treasure is to reward the adventerous spirit of our fellow hikers. It is also a great way to get the name Hiking With Hunter out there. Whoever finds Hunter's Treasure is obligated to nothing. You get a Free Stick. In return, however, we ask two things: 1. Tell a friend. 2. Please share with us the story of how you found the treasure and send us a photo. There will be a special section on this website to track Hunter's Treasure and celebrate Hunter's Treasure Quest.
If you are lucky enough to find Hunter's Treasure - Congratulations. Please send us an email at hunter@hikingwithhunter.com. Please describe Where you found Hunter's Treasure and what the note said. If you can provide a photo of you with the note, even better. Once we confirm the authenticity of the Treasure we will send you your new Hunter Hiking Stick.
